Advice from a 10 year old who completed an 8-week course: “When you’re stressed, don’t take it out on anyone, just do 5 breaths”

The majority of pupils said they would continue to use their mindful breathing techniques. Most pupils said they now recognise their anger and will think about their choices to stay calm and control their emotions better.

BEGINNERS MINDFULNESS COURSE

“The circle of control and self-care routines are very effective tools. The course has helped embed my learning and helped to understand the importance of mindfulness by being able to discuss and practically apply it. Great course, the right length. Lovely to meet others in the group. Great teacher, easy to build relationship with; loved it!”
Susan

“The most significant thing I have learnt is the circle of control, this theory has helped me see a lot of things are out of our control and for that there is less pressure to worry about the future… live in the present moment. I now very often to a body scan meditation before sleep and I have the best nights sleep. They discussions about autopilot made me re-evaluate the way I do things”
Adele

“I really enjoyed this group. Very supportive, great strategies and techniques. It’s been nice to learn something new, which can help your mental health. I use the techniques all the time now and I enjoyed the theory and practical elements. I have got so much out of this course, my stress levels have reduced dramatically and I’m sleeping better
